when i try to update numbers with a vlookup formula , initially all the colums get "0" value . when i individually get to each cell and press F2, the values get updated . How to resolve this issue ?

Hey while using the vlookup one needs to take care that the data for vlooking up should be the same . For this the $ sign which appears in the vlookup formula needs to be removed .
As a result your query will be solved ..

Hi
Its very simple.
U wud hav kept the "Formulas" as "Manual".Turn it into automatic.
For excel 2007/2010 go to File-options-formulas-Turn it to automatic.
Ur prblm will get solved

Hi all, thanks so much..the problem was with manual formula updation..i changed it to automatic and resolved the query !
