Dear All,

Under the new income tax eifling website, how do we download the Form 26AS in excel format?

26AS is available in html , text and pdf format .

excel format isn't available .

bdw y do need in excel ?

form 26 as is available in 3 format html.text,pdf at site www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/MyAccount/View26AS

I think it's easy to download in PDF Format and then convert into excel (That's what I do)

the quantum of a clients TDS runs to over 1000 lines.. working on the same and reconciliation is easy on excel..!!

My clients who has 3-4000 entries per quarter are given in excel format as well as PDF Format. They are very much happy. I do not understand why the way of conversion i suggested did n't suit you

r you use pdf file convert to excel in google enter below website. u solve this prob.

Hey Bro,

We are also facing the same problem and it has begun from this quarters 26AS only. After conversion from PDF to Excel it makes lets say 400 Worksheets (Depending on quantam of TDS Data) within a workbook.

Please if any one has found a solution for incorporating the 26AS data in one excel sheet only let me know, its urgent.

u can do 1 thing

copy the selected part u need and paste it on excel sheet it will do fulfill ur need.

Dont Select Any Format , Just Select View Online 26AS.

You Need to do Some Labour Work fr Seeing in Excel.

Just Copy Directly and Paste in Excel Sheet.

By Heading Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Selecting..One of The Tedious Work, But for Viewing in Excel, This is The Only Way Otherwise if you convert it from PDF to Excel, First Put Password That is Not Working in My Case, and Secondaly It will not convert properly.

Kavita / Ayush,

When it is opened in the HTML format, it gives party wise details, which has to be expanded and we cant even expand all the parties at the same time. Also the maximum number of parties displayed in 1 page is only 10.

So to copy paste, you have to expand each party's data, copy the same and then go to the second party.

The copy paste of the previous website worked as the entire list was shown in a single page without partywise breakup.

Also i have tried direct exporting from the website to an excel sheet was worked in the previous website but doesnt work in the new site either.

Strangely, in the FAQ, they have mentioned that the 26AS form can be downloaded in 4 formats, viz. pds, text and excel, however, they do not show the excel option at the time of downloading.
