Annual filing of returns are not required when you are applying for EES...
Since Easy Exit Scheme, 2010 (“EES”) provides an opportunity for inoperative / defunct companies to get their names struck off from the Register of Companies through a simplified process compared to the tedious winding up procedure.
Company here includes Vanishing Companies also, which are those companies who failed to file their returns to ROC & Stock Exchanges for 2 consecutive years or more & is not maintaining its registered office at address notified with ROC...
You just have to file the EES form available on MCA portal along with the required attachments, but make sure that company does not have secured loan or any pending prosecution or having its dues towards income tax or other authorities....

You are not in need to file any Annual filing forms before applyinmg under EES, 2010..
