Will the indexation be provided in question papers to compute capital gains or we have to memorise it for all those years?
Because my friend said last time nov 09 it was not given in IPCC question paper, I too saw that.

Generally , it is provided in the question papers. If not so, you can ask from the examiner, they will provide you.
Also, the last resort but very rare chances to follow if no other option, you can use the Index on the basis of your close assumption and mention the fact of non-availability in a note to the calculation.

Usually it is given in the quesation paper >If it is not given in that case you have to assume some figure cost of indexation

You can remember the CII for the current year..
Usually CIIs are given in the question paper..

Usually it will be given in the question paper.... But for your sake, try to just go through the indexation values. And dont forget to remember the latest indexation value. :)

and also its useful for life time u need its many occasion when u come in practice

yes indextation table will be provided if not provided u can ask the examiner for the same however it is advisable to remember some of indextation cost
