Hi,
1. Is stamp duty charges and registration charges deductible even if there is no possession of property?
2. Can it be claimed in subsequent F.Y. if paid for property this year?
Thanks,
This is a debatable issue.
Just like principal repayments, stamp duty and registration fees paid are allowable only on payment basis only when possession of the premises is taken.
