During payment of income tax by the assesse company can TDS be adjusted only if the TDS certificates have been received or there is a time limit. Can it be adjusted while paying income tax and TDS certificatescan be submitted at a later date...

Income tax can be paid by adjusting TDS without certificate.....No need for certificate but you should claim the correct amount.....i.e. know the exact amount deducted.........

i want to confirm once again. R u sure that TDS can be adjusted without producing TDS certificates. In one of my audits the client is having huge TDS balance of about 37lacs coming from 2007 onwards but has not adjusted it while paying income tax.
