A firm registered under composition scheme and purchased raw materials from farmers from outside the state., which means interstate purchases. what should we comply with gst regarding above transaction
No you can purchase goods from inter state as well as intra state from urd. If supplies are taxable you need to pay GST on RCM. Only condition is that take ITC benefit. Also you can not make Inter state supplies/sales. In the above query as agricultural goods are exempted one you need not to pay GST under RCM
Mr Raja section 9(4) of CGST Act allows purchase by registered dealer from URD and cast burden on RD to pay GST on RCM whether purchase is inter state or intra -state
