Dear All
Is it possible to upgrade android version from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2/jelly bean or any new version comes in market.
If yes, it is depends on model to model or can be done in any company/model......
Thanks
Rajiv

Hi, I would like to answer your question based on scenarios:
1. You buy some phone and the company provides official update to latest android version ( usually medium and high end phones)
2. You buy any phone but the company doesnt provide future updates, though you can still update it to recent version of android by referring to sites like forum.xda-developers.com . However, hardware requirements of latest android version and that of your phone should coincide or be nearby.
3. Also, there is great dependency on how widely distributed/available your phone is . More people using that phone, higher will be the probability that someone will attempt to root and install latest version.
For instance I am able to run ICS comfortably and jelly bean without project butter on a 2010 phone, which was originally release with Donut 1.6.
So whether you will be able to get a newer version of android, finally boils down to your buying choice. Hope this helps
