Can we file an updated return to update the revised return against which intimation is received u/s 143(1)?
Since intimation u/s 143(1) is not an assessment order, we should be allowed to file an updated return (resulting in higher tax payment than the revised return). Has anyone filed this after receiving intimation?

Yes, you can file updated return when there is additional tax payable, even after receipt of intimation u/s. 143(1) of IT act..
