i am also one of the jobless CA.
initially i was worried that i am not getting job. after few weeks i found out that thousands of CA's are jobless
(Mostly Freshers)
i wounder if institute not able to provide job for thousands of CA's, how it will provide job for LAKHS of students studying CA.
Even BPO require only B Com students.

i never thought even in my dreams that even after passing CA people would not get jobs but friends this is harsh reality . many of the CA are not getting jobs . u cannot do anything except wait & watch . It is high time institute understands this grave reality and does something . Merely holding campus placement wont help as only 1 out of 10 CA actually get jobs .

Common Entrance Test must be mandatory & must not not be waived under any circumstances If ICAI wants to maintain the quality. Further the Test must be tough so that those who will clear the Entrance test have a fair chance to qualify. Thus quality & employability will be of the highest order. The ICAI must not run after money otherwise CA will be trated just like a Graduate.

Truth behind pass percentage is if members are short of cheap labour (Articles) they will increase pass percentage of CPT and IPCC.
Once they entered final, they will give exemption etc after 3-4 attempts so that they will continue studies and get examination application fee etc.,,
If there is surplus labour, pass percentage will be like 0.25%, 6% etc.,
At the moment there is a labour shortage, so they waived CPT for graduates. Also they will get money like registration fee etc,
ICAI don't care about Qualified CA's.

Unemployment of CA or getting the employment/profile of your choice.
I think real issue here is not getting employed but a getting a profile or employment in profile that commensurate the hard work put by us to get the freaking degree. CA's would easily get a job in any of the CA firm is they want. But that is not the aspiration of all us. It high time that CA institute address the issue of such CA's who does not seek carreer in pratice or conventional CA work. The institute should upgrade their course content in terms of financial market domain and start choice of specilisation during final for students who want to do audit or accounting and those who seek employment is financial market/risk management. Such specilisation then definately be valued by industries as well students seekin career in financial market.
