u/s 80C, maximum deduction available is Rs. 1,50,000/- w.e.f. A.Y. 2015-16.
.
What you are talking about is ‘children education allowance’ u/s 10(14)(ii) read with rule 2BB(2), which is exempt upto actual amount received per child or Rs. 100 p.m. per child upto a max. of 2 children, whichever is less.

Thanks Deepakji, I dont get any Children education allowance so that Section 10(14)(ii) isnt applicable. But I do pay more than 150000 as TUITION FEES so I will claim 150000 under 80C.This is my understanding from your answer. I hope I have understood correctly.

Thanks

You can claim deduction as tuition fees under section 80C to the extent of amount paid excluding of any payment made towards any development fees or donation or payment of similar nature.

Thanks Satishji, I am paying 175000 as Tuition fees which is written on receipt so I can claim 150,000 , right .

MAXIMUM LIMIT ALLOWABLE U/S 80 C I.e rs 1,50,000/- for the A.Y.2015-16 IS ALLOWABLE AS DEDUCTION.

Thank You

sir, u will only get deduction for Rs 1200 per child and for 2 children upto Rs 2400 a year at maximum

Mr. Rakesh..

You are correct .. you can claim Rs. 150000 u/s 80C towards tution fees !!

But that ttn fees should be for full time education .! Such as school fees and not any fees for professional course !

Rs.1,50,000/-is correct, b/z you want to claim u/s 80C,so it will be Rs.1,50,000/- W.E.from Assy.Yr 2015-16
