What is max tuition fee deductions allowed under 80C ? Earlier I recall they had some 12000 per child/year, whats the latest ?

u/s 80C, maximum deduction available is Rs. 1,50,000/- w.e.f. A.Y. 2015-16.

What you are talking about is ‘children education allowance’ u/s 10(14)(ii) read with rule 2BB(2), which is exempt upto actual amount received per child or Rs. 100 p.m. per child upto a max. of 2 children, whichever is less.

Thanks Deepakji, I dont get any Children education allowance so that Section 10(14)(ii) isnt applicable. But I do pay more than 150000 as TUITION FEES so I will claim 150000 under 80C.This is my understanding from your answer. I hope I have understood correctly.

Thanks Satishji, I am paying 175000 as Tuition fees which is written on receipt so I can claim 150,000 , right .

MAXIMUM LIMIT ALLOWABLE U/S 80 C I.e rs 1,50,000/- for the A.Y.2015-16 IS ALLOWABLE AS DEDUCTION.

sir, u will only get deduction for Rs 1200 per child and for 2 children upto Rs 2400 a year at maximum

Rs.1,50,000/-is correct, b/z you want to claim u/s 80C,so it will be Rs.1,50,000/- W.E.from Assy.Yr 2015-16
