I agree with this. There were many people who cleared as per the list but not as per the official result. That's a big question on the integrity of the results declared by the ICAI.
Also, another question is on the data leakage from ICAI. How come lists only sent out to branches, came out to the general public.
Looking forward to a thoughtful discussion on this.

I think the results published on the website are simply the final marks after scaling down. They may have decided to revise some results after compiling the list and maybe it was not supposed to be publicly released.
ICAI is empowered by its regulations to scale down marks of any section of candidates that it thinks necessary.
I can't remember the regulation no. but it's there in the CA regulations, 1988.
main issue:
yes point is not that list is made to public. But the main issue is that ICAI does manipulation every time, and only this time we come to know it because of accidently leak of result list.
why icai plays with dreams of students. we depend on result so much, our families depend on that, many of us delay their marriage by thinking that they will clear this time and then get married. Whole life gets delayed due to such manipulation.
why not entrance itself made harder? our young age would not have been wasted in preparing for ca final:
Why ICAI dont do this manipulation at Foundation / CPT level itself? CPT is so easy and student thinks that he will clear CA later or sooner for sure. But he struck in this manipulation game.
My age is 32 now and still not cleared any of the groups of CA Final. I know its my fault also, i may not studied well but my question is if i am not good in my capacity then why Institute passed me at Foundation / PE-1 (now called as CPT)? if they have failed in PE-1 itself i would have did something else and have not wasted most important 10 - 12 years of my young age. Since 19 age to 32 age i am still in CA. I sacrificed my young life, i never go for outing never gone for playing cricket because of exam tension, we do lot of sacrifices everyone knows that. I agree that i am not talented enough to become CA then why you (ICAI) accepted my admission yar? Take a strong entrance test and accept only talented students, put ISCA at CPT level. at that young age (19 yrs) we have bigger capacity and interest in studies than at age of 32. We could have done CA Final syllabus at CPT age itself... CPT must be harder and Final must be as easy as CPT. In medical field also entrance is so hard but once a student passes it he ultimately becomes a doctor.
icai want to earn revenue only:
ICAI just want to take input of students and to earn revenue. ICAI made quality of profession by reducing result and making it harder to clear CA Final. Is this a correct way to increase importance of CA profession?
Dont know what to do.
@ Ajay sir - can you tell me which news paper has this news and which editoin delhi or mumbai?
yes the fact should need a detailed explanation. in press release icai just said that the list leacked, but it was printed and print is always as per computer file. it was a valid record of icai but it was before manipulation. This is not mistake, it was intentional to reduce the marks. i got only 32 marks where i expected 52 marks. and 39 marks in majority subjects how can this happen? failed in all subjects at 32 to 39 marks when i was expecting to clear both groups.

yes bro. equal 15% result can not happen. but net result is 8.68 % only.
number of candidates qualified as CA / total appeared = 9476/1,10,600 (approx)

Sachin- Yesterday only I met a friend who got 33 in fr while she was expecting 53..surely marks were certainly downscaled...and I think both groups is even lower than 8.68% unless we see the southern and eastern region lists. So far I found from the three regional lists that a little less than 2000 candidates have qualified both groups from northern region, central region and western region.
