13 September 2014Company paying small transporters having no PAN like 3 Wheeler delivery van say sum of Rs. 600 - 1200 per trip. Shall company has to mention details of these transporter in eTDS Return?

Sec 194C of Income Tax Act 1961 deals with this case.
Note:- if Transporter quotes his PAN, then no need to deduct TDS.
But if no PAN :- then , Deduct TDS @ 20% ...
provided agreegate payment in a year exceeds Rs. 75000.
and maintain all the relevant details.

Yearly payment to these each transporter is below 75000/-. Weather the details is to be mentioned or not in eTDS.

No need to maintain in e tds as sec 194C is not applicable at all
