Trademark registration

You need to first search the product in the class of procuct on the Trademark Registration website and ensure that your name is different and not applied for earlier.

Then file form TM1 along with a filing fee of Rs. 3,500/-

Form TM1 is to be filed in 3 copies along with Additional Representation.

W.e.f. last year you need to specifally mention the specificaiton of the goods which are to be used under your registered trademark, now you can not used the word etc.

Further, in addition of 500 words you need to file form 61 as well for  filing additional fee of Rs. 10 per word in excess of 500 words in specification.
