Trade name or legal name for Proprietorship

In case of proprietorship, Can I generate gst invoice on trade name or legal name for my online business selling digital products ?

Legal Name: The legal name of the proprietorship refers to the name of the individual who owns the business. It is the name used for official registration and identification purposes. If you do not have a registered trade name or prefer not to use it on your invoices, you can use the legal name of the proprietorship on the GST invoices

Legal Name : This is the PAN Name.

Trade Name : This is Business Name which is run Our business through a name.

So,

If the Business run by the Proprietor Mr. AAA and the Trade name like M/s. XYZZZ then

Legal Name : AAAAA

Trade Name : XYZZZ

Don't give theory... Bcoz, It's simply taken from online. But, Solution is not available for understanding from the online theory...

Thanks for the clarity on Legal Name vs Trade Name.

A quick question:

If I have registered a Trade Name (say, XYZZZ), and I also want to (in parallel) raise invoices under my Legal Name (say, AAAAA), do I need to also register my Legal Name as a Trade Name?

If you are talking about GST registration then anyway trade name is registered under the PAN(legal name) so no need to separately register legal name.
