09 February 2009Services in relation to Package tour only 25% of the bill is taxable from 23.8.2007 wherein the bill issued indicates that it is inclusive of charges for such a tour... my question is that can setoff be claimed on input in Maharashtra????

No CENVAT credit of duty on inputs/capital goods or the CENVAT credit of sercive tax on input services used for providing such taxable service is allowed, if you want to avail of 75% exemption in respect of Package Tour.
