Hi. I want to know the total monthly salary of a sbi PO. I read it's prospectus but it seems to be too high. Also i want to know, what will be the total monthly salary after 5 years.
Thanks

It is around 8,00,000 pa in aggregate. It is strange but true. A CA fresher get around 3-4 lac pa only even after becoming CA. While a person can become PO with some good efforts and get a handsome package.

Noramlly for PO at Scale-I it will be around 30,000 pm....Plus you will get perqs of normally around 2000-3000 p.m. (may vary bank to bank)...for sbi it'll be around 34000/- p.m. plus extra perqs....every sector has its own requirement and pay structure which is not comparable...every CA has an opportunity to join banks and every banker has opportunity to become a CA...There are many CA freshers which start at packages of more than 8 lakh p.a. (though few in nos but now that depends on capability and luck of candidate)

Nopes...PO generally refer to Scale I officer...whereas Banks recruit CA's directly for Scale II thus a CA will get higher entry scale + higher package....so CA ko special treatment milta hai :)

I assume SO means specialist officer...PO simply means an officer who is on Probation, so when u'll enter as SO on Scale II, you'll be a sort of PO......You should try to enter banking sector as SO at scale II...Normally no experience is required for Scale II for a CA.

Yes, U could have...then why didn't you choose it? Why U went for CA? Why you didnt go for Govt. Job??? Neither ICAI nor Govt. assures U of any package before going or Choosing this course...Its never written in the prospectus that after becoming CA u'll get ...lakhs of package....CA is a course and PO is a job....
But there are some advantages of CA also....A Govt. employee will get a fixed salary whereas if u have capability, knowledge, luck then with experience in practice u literally have no limit to your package....With CA, U have more opportunities for jobs and promotions in every sector which a bank PO wont have.....You will always have more status and respect than a PO provided U proove your worth as a CA....Having a professional degree will give u better edge and advantage in long run....
And what we sacrifised in our career choice is not the final determinant of our package, otherwise our soldiers who always put their life at risk 24 hrs. have a package less than that of a Govt Peon :)
