To whom taxability arise
my client has getting rental receipt for house rent,but owner of the property is his father. Tenant is asking recipt for the rent paid. So who is responsible to generate the receipt (either my client or his father). To whom taxability arise . Please specify with section as per act. Please answer to me

if your client is receiving rent in his name then he is deemed owner of the house and rent received is taxable in his hand
