It has been a year now since the deadly terrorist attacks on Mumbai, the financial and business capital of India, took place on November 26, 2008.
One year on, and ceremonies are being held across the country to mark the 1st anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack to hit Mumbai. The attacks lasted for three long days, in which 165 people lost their lives, while 9 terrorists were killed. The coordinated attacks took place at the CST railway station (formerly known as Victoria Terminus), the Taj Hotel, Trident Hotel, and the Nariman House Jewish Community Centre.
As India observes the first year anniversary of the Mumbai attacks, let’s looks back and remembers some of those heroes who sacrificed their lives to save thousands and for being inspiration to all of us:
