Hi, Can anyone tell me if TIPS paid on hotel / restaurant bills be claim as an expenses.

Yes, Such expenses can be claimed as expenditure under the head "Misc expenditure", coz for "tips" paid at the hotels or restaurant there is no provision for issuance of bills. So claimed it as misc expenditure.
