Time limit for scrutiny

I am a businessman having prop. Firm I had filed my returns for FY 2005-06 on 27.10.06. I want to know what is the time limit for scrutiny for that year.

notice for scrutiny u/s 143(2) can be issued within one year from the end of month in which reuturn of income is filed.

Amit sirjee kuch gadbadi hogayi kya,Than its better file belated return because still you have a tme for belated return..and what happen with the notice which you rec from it dept.

the time limit for scrutiny u/s 143(2) is one year from the end of the month in which retyrn was file..............besides this the assesing officer must have passed the order u/s 143/144 (if special audit is not recommended u/s 142(2A) latest by 31.12.07 for AY 05-06 so if your AO has not passed any order u/s 143/144 than it is time barred from AO's side
