Threshold limit for obtaining GST registration?

I am a retired person and want to supplement income by selling 3rd party goods on e commerce platform be it Amazon or Flipkart.
But they insist on GST registration for enlisting me as a seller.

I understand that till 50 lacs annual turnover over there's no need to register under GST.

1) Please guide how to deal with this situation.
2) Can one register under GST with out a consultant?
3) Do I have to file regular return even if turn over is much below threshold limit?
4) Also looking for Mumbai based consultant in this matter. TIA

Quick Summary
If you're selling goods or services through an e-commerce platform like Amazon or Flipkart, GST registration is mandatory regardless of your annual turnover. This is due to specific provisions in the CGST Act 2017, particularly Section 24, which overrides the general turnover threshold for such suppliers. You'll need to comply with the conditions outlined in Section 22 of the CGST Act.

If  you supplying  goods or  service through  E. commerce operator , then registration is compulsory irrespective of the turnover   as  per section 24 of the CGST  act 2017.

Please follow the conditions laid down under Sec 22 of cgst act.
You need to compulsorily registered , there is no limit for selling for e commerce
