Hi,
Will the GST threshold limit OF 20 Lakhs be counted from 1 april 2017 or 1 july 2017 ?
Will it matter if the person is only doing job work for another unit and has no sale or purchase but only job work charges?

Threshold limit of 20 Lakh is to be seen from 1st April 2017. In case job worker,Value of goods sent by the principal will not be included in the aggregate turnover of the registered job worker.
If job work charges exceeds 20 Lakh, only then registration under GST is compulsary.
If job work charges exceeds 20 Lakh, only then registration under GST is compulsary.

but the job worker charge till 30.06.2017 will be covered under mega exemption.
So should the turnover not be collected from 1 july 2017 when the gst act came into force ?
