I think we shouldn't take those figures seriously.
Even in recession times, you may come across, some CA or IIM guys getting a crore, but then these people are not freshers, nor are these jobs in India. These guys have work ex, they have left good jobs and position and taken up this education. it is obvious for some people to get very high paying offers.
At the level of freshers, things are very bad across professions. Thats one reason the average even at IIMA is approx only 13 lakhs. And on the other hand we also hear that some from IIM got 60 lakh domestic package. But then we have 4-5 ppl who must be already having 5-10 years of work ex and then going for an MBA, but the rest must have joined far below 13 lakhs and thats why we got this average at 13 lakhs.
Even in CA, there are people who have cleared CS, CWA and even law before clearing CA final. If they go to the campus, it is likely that they may get more than average. I have even come across people who have finished foundationa and inter and articleship 6-7 years back. They had left the course that time and taken up a job. And now a few of them cleared CA final and they have got a far better package than anyone on our campus.
