I CANNOT GIVE EXACT KNOWLEDGE BUT FOR EXAMINATION PURPOSE I CAN PROVIDE U THE FOLLOWING INFO.
T-TEST IS ONLY APPLIED FOR SAMLL SAMPLE TESTS (OBSERVATIONS< 30)
THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF T-TESTS
WHEN ONLY SINGLE MEAN GIVEN, APPLY FIRST FORMULA
WHEN TWO MEANS ARE GIVEN, WE HAVE TO DECIDE WHETHER TO APPLY SECOND OR THIRD FORMULA,
IF GIVEN SAMPLE OBSERVATIONS ARE INDEPENDENT => BOTH THE SETS OF OBSERVATIONS ARE NOT IN EQUAL IN NO. OF OBSERVATIONS
IF GIVEN SAMPLE OBSERVATIONS ARE DEPENDENT => BOTH SET ARE HAVING EQUAL NO. OF OBSERVATIONS THEN APPLY PAIRED T TEST (THIRD FORMULA)
FOR ALL T TESTS FACTOR TO BE CONSIDERED IS (n-1) OR (n1+n2-2) as the case may be
