Tds without tan

Is it possible to book the expenses with TDS in a firm without TAN and use the TAN of another frim with TAN for remittance and filing of TDS and TDS Return

the firm which is claiming exp has to deduct TDs and file the same

Ok . I deduct TDS in a firm without TAN and shall I remit the this TDS in a firm with TAN registration and file the return. Will it be okay . I only pass necessary adjustment entries in both the firm

As I understand, TAN of some other person cannot be used for making payment on our behalf. But person having TAN can use bank account of some other person for making payment of tax on his/her/its own behalf. So as already suggested by Kajal, it can only be deducted and paid by the person claiming expenditure. So I think it is necessary to obtain TAN registration for meeting statutory requirements.
