gst should also be charged?
gst should be charged by the contractor if he registered under gst and that service is a taxable service
As per income tax act you should deduct tds without considering get amount
TDs should be deducted only on assessable value
As per the SOP on TDS (GST) released on CBIC site For purpose of deducting of TDS, the value of supply is to be taken as the amount excluding
the tax indicated on the invoice. This means TDS shall not be deducted on the CGST, SGST
or IGST component of invoice.
