Then whether the assessee i.e the company should deduct tds u/s 194C

No in 94c it should be 94 i in excess of rs 180000/- @ rate if 10%(ie Rental Charges)

NO, Company should deduct tds u/s 194I @ 10% if rent amount exceed to Rs 180000.
