whether construction included under section 194C??
if yes, then my 2nd question...
if I make my home renovated...for renovation, I purchase raw material and provide it to contractor and contractor use it in renovation work and I make payment for this renovation work...whether I am liable to deduct tds at the time of payment under section 194C???
Since you are making payment for personal purpose section 194c will not apply.
you have to check applicability of 194m.
if the renovation fees is below 50 lacs then you may relax, you dont have to deduct any tax.
