Period Due Date
Apr-June-2008 15th July,2008
July-Sep-2008 15th Oct,2008
Oct-Dec-2008 15th Jan,2009
Jan-Mar-2009 15th June,2009
The late filing Fee of Rs. 200/- per day will be applicable U/s. 234E from the date of default to restrcited to maximum amount to the extent of amount of TDS due/paid.
The interest rate @ 1.5% p.m. on late payment of TDS U/s. 201(2) will be levied.
Earlier this year, the TDS return offline were accepted by TRACESS / NSDL. But you please confirm respective department as its time bar and you will be under default U/s. 234E, 201(2) and Employe will also be penalized U/s. 272A(2)(g) of the I-T Act of Rs. 100/- per day till the date of default.
Kindly get proper consultancy from respective authority before filing TDS return to avoid any future litigiation.
