Tds revised return

Hi friends

The proprietorship firm that I am working for has to get their tds return for 2008-09 revised. Our auditor did not do it at that time and now they have some software problem and cannot do it. Can revision for this be done and if yes, then can anyone from caclubindia do it? I would be willing to pay the necessary fees.

There is no need to pay fees. To revise TDS return,

1. Request the consolidated FVU online from TIN-NSDL website;

2. Download RPU software free of cost from TIN-NSDL website;

3. Do the necessary changes and;

4. File the revised return.

but at first register TAN number of your firm with TIN-NSDL WEBSITE(https://onlineservices.tin.nsdl.com/TIN/JSP/tds/RegisterTan.jsp) and then follows all the steps as stated by vineet.

Hi,

I on behalf of my office file tds returns. but earlier the person who was dealing the seat had not filed returns properly and returns of every quarter are coming under default option in tin-nsdl site. I am unable to find out what are the defaults. i have also received letters from income tax department for less deduction of tax. What i understood from all is the person earlier had filed returns under 194B Section (Winning from Lottery & Crossword Puzzle) and all our payments come under 194C (contractor) sections and due to which, less deduction of tax is appearing in site. Can anyone please guide how can i make changes in previous returns and how can i update & make changes in previous annexures and challans (pls explain the procedure).

I know a consolidated files is downloaded for that But what should i do next, I have no idea. I use RPU to file return.

2) And i also found that few PAN numbers that we had quoted in returns are not correct (which i checked from Tin-NSDL site under Invalid PAN No. Option. Do i also need to file revise return to correct PAN numbers also. And please tell how that can also be done in RPU software. (Procedure)
