Tds return without csi file.

How can i create FVU file of 24Q without using CSI file? As, i made a remaining TDS payment of Q3-today therefor it is not showing at NSDL website. For your information,I am using TDSMAN.

or, Is it mandatory now to use CSI file for TDS return file creation?

In short - No.

I had the same problem yesterday and called up the filing centre to confirm if they can upload the file without the CSI file and they categorically said no. What they said was to file the return without that challan detail and verify the remaining challand and then revise the return later on.

Without the CSI file, the TDS file will generate and error always.

Dear Friend,

Please find the below mentioned link as enter your tan no. in tan based view

and mentioned the period from & Upto (i.e first date on which challan is paid in this qtr and last date

of challan of the qtr. eg. 07.11.2012 to 07.01.2013.

you can easily download the csi file from the internet.

save it and while creating the fuv please confirm/check the same with csi.

if it is error free then ok otherwise first remove the errors.

Your dharma sandeham is not genuine.

You have to download .csi file (whether it contains the challans you have included in the return or not)

If as you said the challan paid on the date of filing may not appear but the file will be validated and a warning report is generated accordingly.

If you think that the warning is reasonable and are sure that the challan will reach the dept. then proceed.

When the file is validated ? stopped you from filing.

(In my case I did not face any problem so far. there is no (implied) rule that the challans must have reached the dept. by the time you file the return)

So proceed ... experience /experiment.

It is mandatory to use CSI file for generating FVU file.

I had submitted my challans late and was unable to generete my FVU file as in the

challans site they were showing No records Found.

However, TDSMAN team suggested me to download challan of some previous quarter to atleast

generate the FVU file and file my return on time.

Also, in correction return it is mandatory only when some modification is done in challans or some new challan is added else NO CSI file is required when challans are not changed in the correction return.
