04 May 2015Can anyone suggest me the current prevailing rates of Tds u/s 195 for Technical Services for the f.y.2015-16?
If as per DTAA Treties the prevailing Tds rates for Consultancy Services is 20% between India and UK, then at what rates we should deduct Tds for our UK Consultant?
Again is it subject to Edu Cess also?

Dear Tarak,
- According to sec 195 rate of TDs is 25% for fy 2015-16
- In case as per dtaa rate of tax is 20%, then the rate which ever is beneficial to assessee will be available, hence 20% will be chargeable. Condition- following documents need to be submitted:
1. Tax Residency Certificate.
2.Declarations.
3.Form 10F
