| Rent for land or building | 10% |
| Professional fees/Technical fees | 10% |
| Commission or brokerage | 10% |
| Payments to non-residents | 20% (plus surcharge and cess) |
Notes:

Threshold limits applied before deducting TDS (e.g., no TDS on interest if payment < Rs. 5,000).

Rates may vary for different categories of payees (individual, HUF, company).
