18 June 2011my client is not dedecuting the tds from the trsporter contractor(prividing taxi services)
the reason is that they r providing the pan,so the tax rate is nil
the tranporter r individul
my view is that as per 294c nnly tranrporter related to good carriers/freight r examated
what is the penalty

you can deduct tds now and pay to the government with interest

what is the penalty amount/rate
how to deduct tax now,the contractor with the transporter is over
