Dear guys,
If TDS Amount for all the 4 quarters has been paid in a single challan at the end of March, 2009, how to split that challan for quarterly returns of 26Q ? Will such separation be permitted ?
Urgent info.please. Thanks in Advance.

Dear Mr.D. Siva Kishore,
According to ur requirement u can split the amount of challan. People are following this practice and till date they are not in any problem. One thing I must want to tell u, if for different heads, payment has not been made through different challan then it is better to inform the TDS department regarding the mistake and the inter head adjustment u are doing.

Firstly thanku for reply sir ! in fact that challan amount is only for a sigle type of section head. but instead of 4 separate payments, one single challan paid for all quarters in total. But if the same challan is used, 27A as well as 26Q will contain the same amount deposited in challan details where as tax deducted will be different for all 4 quarters. if the same challan details are entered for different quarters, will it cause any problem ?
