Tds query

A Doctor gets salary from the hospital. During a month, the hospital while crediting his salary to bank account, entered Rs.30000. Even the TDS entered is correct i.e Rs.3000.

But, in the 26AS (TRACES) they entered only Rs.15000 along with TDS of Rs.1500

Can the doctor take any action against the hospital?

So is there any interest/penalty for wrong deduction and not paying to government?

Please refer the Section No./subfile No. and any provisions as per above.

Make an application  to the person who has deducted wrong TDS (i.e. Bank who has made wrong entry in 26AS).  He should request the Bank to file Revise ETDS so that the amount of TDS deducted from his salary must be reflected while viewing 26AS.
