if the challan has been filed in wrong assessment year...
is there any method to correct it.
for eg:- A filed his challan for a.y 2010-11 with filling a.y 2009-10.

I guess the only way to resolve this is to contact the AO of your TDS ward.

i have also same opinion beacuse you cannot pay TDS again

Its a normal Problem in practical life , you simply contact with your AO of TDS ward . no need to pay twice .

There is no other method. You need to make a applciation to AO for rectification and then it would take 10-15 days for process and the AY would change. There won't be any inerest or penalty,

you can revise the respective quarters of the A Y 2009-10 (and in case AY 2010-11 is also filed, respective quarter of that AY).

I dont think there is any need for payment to penalty or interest since you have the option to get it corrected by the Assessing Officer.
