10 February 2014one of our client has dedcuted tax at lower rate but not obtain lower deduction certificate and filed a return but now he received a notice from department because of lower deduction. Now he paid the differential amount and he has only one deductee party. so how can i show one deductee party under two different challan. Kindly advise me its urgent.

you have to split up one entry to two by reverse calculation. so you make sure short deduction should not come for example 100rs payment and 5rs(5%tds under lower deduction ) tds then make it 50rs paid in one date and 50rs paid in another date so balance 5rs paid now get adjusted and lower deduction can not be calculated in this case
