A new firm has deducted TDS from their contractors from 01.04.2012. But the company applies TAN aplication during 2-13 and get TAN no. on dated 28.09.012. Please guide me while he company deposit TDS amount then how the interest calculate? Or does the company liable to deduct the TDS before getting TAN no. from their contractors in the same accounting year?

the interest shall be calculated from the date on which tds has been deducted till the date on which it has been paid. And the rate shal be @ 1%p.m.
From the above it is very clear that you were not responsible in obtaining TAN No.
You can't say that you need not pay interest because you kept quiet for few months and then obtained TAN No.
So for calculating interest date of obtaining the TAN No. has NO..................
So all the rules and regulations apply as usual.
