My husband has got notice for TDS penalty u/s 234E for rs.16000/- . He deducted TDS in August 214 and deposited in Feb 2015. Is there any way to avoid this penalty ?
Please reply. It is urgent.

Dear,
If in your case penlty is levied after 01-06-2015 then you can take the base of two judgements passed in favur of assessee and allowing drop of such penalty rasied.file an application u/s154 to TDS department for cancellation of penlty. if 154 rejected you may go to appeal
