Can anyone tell me whether TDS u/s194-I is to be deducted on VAT/CST Portion
yes , it has to be deducted..
As TDS is to be deducted on the net amount to be paid for RENT .As VAT is also a part of Rent.
However unlike other cases of VAT , such as paid on Goods. There is no input credit benifit available to lessee for VAT paid on Rent.
similar adjustment even in case of Service tax portion too.
Any other opinions r welcomed...............
