TDS on trusteeship fees

Hi Gargi ,

        Its in the nature of Professional Fees . So TDS u/s 194J @ 10% wef 1/10/2009 has to be deducted . If the credit and /or payment is prior to that , pls include surcharge and EC over and above 10% ( unless u plan to claim relief u/s 294 for surcharge & EC )

hello rajiv i think surcharge & cess has been abolished w.e.f  01.04.09  if  i m wrong please correct me
