What is the tds rate on transporter in case of individual & others case. its exemption limit.
Kindly also discussed the difference between Freight, Carriage & Transportation in the case of Tds Preview.

in case of a transporter tds rate is nil(if pan provided)

If PAN provided, TDS is NIL, if PAN Not provided TDS is 20%

Dear Sunil,
Freight, Carriage and trasportation charges are all covered under the ambit of transport charges only.
Hence, TDS will be deducted @ 20%, only if the PAN is not provided.
If PAN present, then as rightly said, no TDS will be deducted.
