TDS on transportation

Shall we deduct TDS on tranportation if it exceeds RS. 50000.

service receiver has to pay Service tax on transportation . In case TDS is applicable on what amount i.e., on gross amount or after servicetax?

As per ,my opinion...TDS should be deducted on gross bills including servicer tax @ 2.66% treating as payment to contractor..

I think we have not understood her question correctly. In case of GTA, service tax is payable by the service receipient and not service provider. In the case on hand, payment made or credited to the service provider is exclusive of service tax as ST is paid by service recipient directly to Central Govt. Hence, ST has to be paid on the amount payable to service provider.
