tds on service tax

Should be also have to have deduct the tds on bill amount including serv.tax or we can exclude the serv. tax amt. while deducting tds?

Dear sampat, To some safer side your opinion is correct that including service tax we have to deduct TDS. But my question is service tax which is collected by payee from payor should be remitted to central government account. I think there is no mandatory clause on TDS on service tax. Right?

Tax should be deducted on the gross bill amount that includes Service tax or any other taxes .

Tds is tro be deducted on amount paid or credited , in such case amount paid or credited will be amount including service tax therefore tds is to be deducted from amt including service tax
