I need your help towards my query i.e. If i have Credited TDS on Salary for March Dtd.31.03.10, then Payment can be made after 2 Month i.e. in the month of 7th of May 2010.
Because one of my collegue told me that we have to pay the same in the month of May before or on 7th.
The same is applicable for other TDS section credited in the Month of March 31.3.10

TDS should be deducted on Salary on Paid basis i.e. when u actually pay Salary, and not on you credit it in books of a/cs.
As far as other TDS sections are concerned, if it is credited on last day of F.Y. i.e. on 31st March, you can pay TDS within 2 Months i.e. on or before 31st May.

I have been getting various opinions to my similar query=

We are a newly formed Pvt ltd Company, where Salary to Employees becomes payable from April 2010, i.e. the salary for April will be paid on 7-May-2010.
Query: When TDS is to be deposited ?? Till 7-May- or 7-June
Kindly explain with reference to any specific rule or section.
In this case, as per your opinion, the tds is to be paid till 7-June
