dear uday , RS 10000/- is not the montary limit . i mean to say that limit of Rs 10000 is for advance tax.if tax is less than Rs 10000/- an assessee is not required to pay advance tax. in this case is employer to deduct the tax at source if tax is less than Rs 10000/-

Dear Vijay,
TDS itself is a kind of advence tax, for deduction of TDS there is no minimum limit for the employers, they had to deduct TDS of the employee every month if income exceeds the taxable limit.
If Tds is not deducted then, salary paid would be disallowed under section 40(a).

Dear Vijay,
employers are liable todeduct TDS on whatever the payments made to employees in lieu of salary..
if such amount is not deducted, salary is disallowable to the employers....

Tds on salary is required to be deducted in case the estimated salary chargeable to tax exceeds the amount not chargeable to tax.
There is no exemption limit U/S 192 for deduction of tds.
Consequences if TDS not deducted.
1. Interest on the amount of TDS not deducted.
2. Penalty of 100% of the TDS amount not deducted.
3.Prosecution
However amount of salary paid to the employee will not be disallowed in following cases
1. if the salary is paid to resident employee.
2. it is paid in india
It will be disallowed u/s 40(a)(iii) in the following cases
1. it is payable outside india ( to any person resident or non resident)
2. In india to non resident

Dear there is no minimum limit prescribed to deduct TDS But if employee has paid advance tax or some other person has made the deduction of tds on him then employer is not required to deduct tds to the extent tax paid
