My query is: If the salary for an employee is more than basic exemption limit, is it compulsory for the employer to deduct tds even if the employee himself paying taxes regulary. Further, is it possible for employer to deduct tds on an employee for the last year salary though there is no notice issued to the employer from the Income Tax department.
