31 March 2010CCTV Cameras were hired for surveillance of currency in the exhibition held by RBI .
How can the expenditure be classified
1) Rent other than plant & machinery on which TDS @ 10% is applicable or
2)Rent - Plant & machinery on which TDS @ 2% is applicable.
Please help ... !!!!

In my view CCTV cameras would fall under the category of Rent payable on furniture & fittings incl. electrical fittings. On which TDS @ 10% is applicable.
